From Process to Proposal

After the 2013 and 2016 bond elections, the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) began meeting to serve as an advisory group, focusing on bond projects, budgets, demographics, projections, trends and long-range facility planning. In September of 2025, the initial group of 15 expanded to over 75 parents, community members and campus/district staff.

The committee’s work culminated in a recommendation for a proposal that could be brought to voters, which was subsequently approved by the SCUC School Board on February 12. This recommendation was the result of a process that identified projects totaling over $500 million  across the district. Through discussions and prioritizing projects, the committee came to consensus on a reduced list of projects, which were ultimately recommended to the Board.

The CAC met eight times between September 10 and December 10, 2025. These meetings included:

District Presentations
Campus Tours
Collaborative Working Sessions
